In the Service of the Student Body and Faculty

Every year, the Kappa Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega proudly supports the University’s major cultural showcases, flagship events that highlight the creativity, diversity, and talent of its students and faculty. This annual sponsorship reflects the chapter’s enduring commitment to service beyond the classroom, nurturing the University’s artistic spirit and strengthening the bond between the academic community and the larger public.

Three Decades of Service: The Annual Book Covering Project

The Kappa Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega has kept alive a quiet yet meaningful tradition in the UPV Main Library through its annual book covering activity. In an age where digital screens have become the primary gateway to knowledge, this simple act of wrapping books in protective plastic or paper carries with it a sense of nostalgia. It reminds us of a time when learning meant turning crisp pages, leaving handwritten notes in the margins, and feeling the weight of wisdom in our hands.
Each covered book represents not just preservation but care, a service rendered to future generations of students who will one day open those same pages. For the members of the chapter, this enduring project is more than a task; it is a reflection of APO’s steadfast commitment to service, tradition, and the belief that even in the digital age, some things are still best preserved by hand.

Beyond Campus, the Service Lives On
