Celebrating the Bonds That Time Can’t Break

We come home not just to remember, but to continue. For friendships formed through purpose and service do not fade; they evolve, they endure.

From the very beginning of Alpha Phi Omega, friendship has been more than a simple bond — it has been the glue that keeps the organization alive through challenges, changes, and time. Frank Reed Horton believed that real friendship means accepting each other fully, “with all faults and differences recognized,” and standing by one another through life. Friendship, to him, was a promise, not just a moment.

At Kappa Gamma Chapter, you feel that promise everywhere, in the long walks from the admin building to the dorms, in the laughter during fellowships, in the silent understanding during difficult moments. KG friendships don’t fade after college; they grow stronger. And maybe that’s the magic of APO, you join with strangers, and you leave with a family.

Friendship in APO is not exclusive, it’s expansive. It’s welcoming the eager neophyte just as warmly as the founding alumni. It’s knowing that wherever you go, whether Iloilo City, Manila, or the other side of the world, you can count on another brother or sister to open a door, lend a hand, share a meal, or simply listen. As many APO members love to say, “Once a Brother, Always a Brother.” For KG, that’s not a slogan, it’s lived experience.

For the new generation in KG Chapter, friendship has become a compass. It teaches empathy, inclusivity, and respect, lessons important not only in the organization but in life beyond the university. They learn that brotherhood and sisterhood aren’t earned by time or rank, but by trust and mutual care. That every member contributes to the culture of warmth and solidarity that keeps the chapter strong.

And so, as KGAA continues to grow, friendship remains at its core, bridging alumni and residents, connecting past and future. Because in Kappa Gamma, friendships are not just stories to look back on, they are relationships that move forward with us, shape who we become, and remind us that wherever our journeys lead… we never walk alone.

Friendship That Endures, Connections That Inspire

Across Alpha Phi Omega, friendships are formed not just in moments of fun but in moments of shared purpose, where service and leadership bring people together in ways that feel genuine and lasting. At Kappa Gamma, this spirit thrives across UP Visayas, from the energized halls of the Iloilo City campus to the iconic sunsets and long walks in Miagao. Here, bonds are built through challenges, achievements, and countless stories that shape who we become. These connections continue well beyond graduation, linking generations of members who support each other personally and professionally. In Kappa Gamma, the friendships made are never just for campus life; they are for every step of the journey ahead.
